I have decided to test all my dogs for SAS and any other heart issue, better to know then not to know if there are any issues. Her OFA Cardiac # is LR-CA2714/49F/C-PI-ECHO and now recorded also on the OFA website.

Daisy will be bred this week to Ch. Safari Dapper Dan at Legasea CGC. Puppies due at the end of October 06. Dapper finished his Championship with five majors. We are so excited about our upcoming litter! See Dapper at www.legasealabs.com
DAISY did it, with Julie's help- the final two points were won at the Mission curcuit on Friday, May 26 under Mrs. Carole A. Beattie. She gave her WB,BW,and BOS. Saturday we moved her up and she got BOS under Patricia Mowbray-Morgan
Daisy is now the model for one of the new Pro-Plan dog food bags- out this week. She is on the large breed weight management bag. Daisy is also the Lab on the literature hanging next to the food in most PetsMarts! I'll put the picture of both in the gallery. No, she doesn't get a lifetime of food but she did get paid for the photo shoot, thanks Mara for taking her down and spending the day with all the hungry dogs!

At Silver Bay KC 2/25 and 2/26 Daisy took a reserve to the major on Saturday and 1st in open yellow on Sunday- ahhh, so close and yet sooo far away. The open class was huge- nine each day!

Daisy took WB at the Santa Clara Valley Kennel Club on 2/19/06 for one more point. Two, count-um, two more points to go!
RECENT NEWS!
With Julie Jones handling, Daisy took WB and BW at the San Fernando KC show on January 21st for THREE MORE POINTS bringing her total to 12! The next day she took a reserve to another major at the Ventura Dog Fanciers show. Good girl Daisy! Thank-you Julie and Kathy Jones for taking such good care of Daisy.
Daisy has both majors and is working hard to finish her Championship, her Junior Hunter title and her first agility title this year! She will be bred in the summer of '06.

Where'd everybody go?
OFA ClearanceA note about optigen numbers and OFA numbers, first why bother posting them? There are folks that say they test and they really do not. There are still dogs born that are going blind at 3 and 4 years of age, I have an email that came last week from a gal that got a dog from a reputable breeder in So Cal, unless you have proof, the actual accession number and test results do NOT assume a dog is optigen tested or OFA cleared. There is nothing wrong with breeeding optigen B dogs to optigen A dogs, some of our finest Labradors are carriers, but it is unethical in my opionion to be breeding with out first testing now that the test is so much better. Worse it is a crime (fraud) to say that you have tested either OFA or optigen when in reality you have not. So from now on I will post the results for each of my dogs.
